Food category · China to Cuba
Refined edible oil is a repeat-order category on the China-to-Cuba route. Specification is agreed per shipment, and we quote against the packaging size that best fits your distribution plan.
Category description
We supply refined sunflower, soybean, and blended edible oils from northern and northeastern Chinese refineries, filling at the refinery or at a contract packer depending on whether you need retail-ready bottles or bulk drums. Because oil is a price-sensitive, high-volume line, the main variable is the pack format: small PET bottles for retail distribution, or larger drums and flexitanks for industrial and food-service buyers. Freight and filling decisions are made together so the landed cost per litre stays comparable across formats.
Every shipment is quoted against a confirmed specification, packed to the format agreed for your channel, and documented so the Cuban side can clear it without guesswork.
Technical specification
Reference values for shipments on the China-to-Cuba route. Final limits are written into the purchase contract for each order.
Shipment handling
Sealed PET bottles with tamper-evident caps for retail sizes, and lined plastic drums for bulk formats. Drums are palletised and labelled with batch, filling date, and net volume.
Bottle, case, drum, or FCL 20ft / 40ft. Retail and bulk formats are quoted separately.
A 20ft container carries roughly 1,050–1,200 cases of 5 L PET, about 21,000–24,000 litres. Drums and flexitank options are loaded on the same container footprint with different stowage factors.
Free fatty acid and peroxide value sampling against the contract limit, fill volume and seal check, label language and nutrition panel review, and drum integrity inspection on bulk formats.
Health certificate, certificate of origin, and a quality certificate from the refinery. Label language and the licence description must agree on oil type, net volume, and importer details.
Clearance pack
Our Cuban team checks the licence description against the contract before loading, so the paperwork on arrival matches what the licence says.
