Category description

How CoExpys handles Rice

We source milled rice from mills in the Yangtze River Delta, Henan and Northeast China, then consolidate it at a bonded warehouse for direct container loading to Havana. Grain is milled to the grade the Cuban licence covers, so the specification on the purchase contract and the specification on the customs declaration match. Every shipment is checked at pre-shipment inspection for moisture, broken grain percentage, foreign matter, and infestation, and results are recorded on the inspection report that travels with the cargo.

Every shipment is quoted against a confirmed specification, packed to the format agreed for your channel, and documented so the Cuban side can clear it without guesswork.

Shipment handling

Packing, loading, inspection and clearance

Typical packing

25 kg or 50 kg woven polypropylene bags with a sealed food-grade inner liner. Palletised, shrink-wrapped, and export-carton marked with lot code and production date.

Enquiry units

Bag, pallet, or FCL 20ft / 40ft. We quote by the unit that fits your order size.

Container plan

A 20ft container typically holds around 800 bags (about 20 MT). A 40ft high-cube holds roughly double. Exact loading weight depends on the confirmed bag size.

Inspection focus

Moisture meter reading, broken grain count, foreign matter screen, infestation check, bag stitching and liner seal inspection, and verification that the lot marking on the bags matches the certificate.

Clearance notes

Phytosanitary certificate, certificate of origin, and the milling certificate issued by the mill. The licence description must match the variety, packing, and grade stated on the contract.
